Job Description

Beatitudes Campus was founded in 1965 as a place where older adults could live, learn, and grow through all the days of their lives. Our Founders dreamed of a "campus," borrowing the term from the educational community because of its sense of continual growth and vibrancy. Our Campus was one of the first to introduce the concept of continuing care and improve the quality of retirement living in North Central Phoenix.

Position Summary

This position performs a variety of duties in the main kitchen including but not limited to cleaning and dishwashing under the supervision of the Care Center Food Service Supervisor in accordance with Federal, State and company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Wash and scrub pots and pans, keeping water fresh during shift work
  • Stack, separate and put dirty dishes and silverware through dishwasher
  • Log dishwasher temperatures as required
  • Put away clean dishes and silverware
  • Keep work area clean and sanitized
  • Keep kitchen sanitizer fresh in kitchen sinks, logging all change times
  • General cleaning of kitchen department
  • Keep dishwashing supplies in stock
  • Put away stock as it’s delivered to kitchen
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Assure that resident’s rights to fair and equitable treatment, self determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including the right to file a complaint are upheld.
  • Participates in and supports quality assurance/continuous quality improvement programs and processes.
  • Serves on standing and ad hoc work teams/committees as required.
  • Attends all mandatory in-services as directed.
  • Consistently maintains complete confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other sensitive material which may jeopardize the privacy of others.

Minimum Education:   8th Grade Education                                    

Minimum Experience:  None required, will train on the job 

Required Licensure/Certification:  Current valid Food Handlers Card

Required Protective Equipment:
