Job Description

This position performs a variety of duties within the various areas in the Food Service Department. Responsibilities include but are not limited too taking and delivering meal orders, completing assigned side work, assisting with caterings when needed and assisting co-worker to complete a common goal.  

Essential Functions

  • Takes food orders tableside from the residents
  • Places and delivers at home delivery orders
  • Places orders with kitchen crew and delivers food to appropriate table when food is completed
  • Performs beverage service (including coffee and soft drinks)
  • Clears dishes from table throughout the meal, ensuring that dirty plates are not left on the table
  • Stocks and restocks assigned stations with necessary supplies
  • Cleans and sanitizes assigned work area
  • Scrapes dishes and separates silverware for dishwasher
  • Resets tables for next meal
  • Assists in the set-up and breaking down of caterings
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. daily
  • Ability to work POS system
  • Ability to write and speak English fluently
  • Able to communicate effectively on telephone with residents and families

Minimum Training and Experience

Minimum Education:    High School Diploma or GED preferred

Minimum Age Requirement: 17 years of age                       

Minimum Experience:  Six months of table wait experience preferred.  Will train.

Required Licensure/Certification:  Current valid Food Handler Card
