Job Description

This position performs a variety of duties within Elaine’s Dining Room. Responsibilities include but are not limited too taking and delivering meal orders, completing assigned side work.  Responsible for creating appropriate table presentations, including room arrangements.  Able to work Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 3pm to 8pm.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Responsible for maintenance and proper storage of all catering equipment,      supplies, props, and decorations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under high stress situations required
  • Good organizational skills with attention for detail a must
  • Must have ability to create proper ambiance with limited tools
  • Check tables to insure standard set-up
  • Prepares needed beverage service for function
  • Stocks and prepares all service areas before function
  • Checks and has knowledge of menu for function
  • If function requires, take food orders from residents in a professional manner
  • Serves beverages and all food items to the residents
  • Makes quality checks with residents
  • Clears meal courses and clears all tableware and china
  • Prepare and deliver resident catering items, as needed
  • Knowledge of menu and preparation of menu items
  • Cleans and sanitizes assigned work area
  • Resets all tables for next meal if function takes place in a dining room
  • Performs all closing duties for the position
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Training and Experience

Minimum Education:    High School Diploma or GED preferred

Minimum Age Requirement: 17 years of age                       

Minimum Experience:  Six months of table wait experience preferred.  Will train.

Required Licensure/Certification:  Current valid Food Handler Card
